Klaus K Hotel - Monsieur K Room

Bulevardi 2-4, Helsinki

Saturday 5 April 2025

Doors open at 20.00 for a 21. 00 start to the show

A night to sit back, laugh and fall in love with music all over again.

Dive into live acoustic music with us at Klaus K Hotel, poured upon us first by Katrin Johansson, a celestial singer-songwriter who has a mathematical approach to the entire creative world that she dives into. A finalist in the American Songwriting Contest, her artistic work includes a vast array of emotions that is expressed through a captivating blend of musical sounds.

Also included in the musical component of the evening is Neiti, a youthful indie rock band made up of five female members. Established in 2023, the talent provided by each member quickly formed into one sound that is as much ethereal as it is powerful. The band performed for a crowd of several hundred in Vanha Kirkkopuisto in the summer of 2024 at the Helsinki ‘Night of the Arts,’ a show that single-handedly put them on the musical map of the Finnish capital region. This performance will mark the live debut of new musical material from the band’s upcoming new album.

At the heart of the comedic portion of the evening will be Jason DeBose, a widely traveled comedian who has performed in 17 Finnish cities that span the Nordic nation's cultural spectrum.

He is the producer and host of the newly launched all-English show ‘Comedy By The Sea’ in Kaartinkaupunki. DeBose’s comedy ranges from stories that he has collected through 20 years of travels to clever commentary on current Finnish news.

DeBose grew up in Southern California and proceeded to graduate from a Stockholm University-based film program before working in TV & movies back home (The Drew Carey Show, Wanda at Large, On the Spot, Black Dawn, Walking Tall 2). Since his start in comedy in Helsinki in 2017, DeBose has performed beyond Finland in nine countries and four U.S. states. This rare half-hour 5.4. performance, presented by the Helsinki Stand-Up League, will be his first official comedy special.

The opening comedic portion of the show will be Susanna Pukkila. Pukkila draws in laughter regularly via in-character and self-written solo performances at professional theatres all over the country and at stand-up clubs in both Finnish and English.

Weaving the whole evening together will be Sasu Marttila, an accomplished dramatic and comedic actor and a staple of the impactful works of theatre performed by the Finn-Brit Players at the NoName Theatre.
